Working on the Clinton
When I got this engine the recoil was broken, and it had no spark.
After filing the points and cleaning all the connections for the coil and condenser, we have spark.
I use a large strap wrench to hold the flywheel while torquing the nut.
Piston, valves, and cylinder look good. Nothing needed here.
Now this was an issue! One of the float pin support lugs in the carb was broken off. To repair it I built up the broken area with J B Weld, filed it to size and drilled it inline with the existing lug hole. It looks like it just might work.
